Bali is now open to travellers from all countries! You still have to quarantine on arrival – but this is a much more relaxed type of quarantine known as a ‘warm-up vacation’. The difference is that you do not have to stay in your room, and instead are able to use designated areas and facilities of the ‘warm-up’ hotel.
A selection of hotels has been designated as ‘warm-up’ hotels, including the spectacular Viceroy Bali in Ubud. The length of the ‘warm-up’ quarantine varies as below, and then after the quarantine period you are free to travel around the island as you please:
- Three days for travellers who have received the third dose of vaccine
- Five days for travellers who have received the second dose of vaccine
- Seven days for travellers who have received the first dose of vaccine
What you need to do:
- Apply for a Visit Visa (B211A) in advance
- Take a RT-PCR test 48 hours before departure
- On arrival show proof of vaccination and negative RT-PCR test result
- Hold health insurance with a minimum coverage of USD 25,000 which covers Covid-19
- Show booking confirmation and payment of ‘warm-up’ hotel
- Take a RT-PCR test on arrival
- Take another RT-PCR a day before the warm-up quarantine ends
