Jennifer & David Review on Hermitage Bay Antigua

Hillside Pool Suite Hermitage Bay Antigua

Dear Teresa,

We had a blissful trip.  Hermitage Bay was the perfect venue for our honeymoon. It was quiet but not boring, beautiful, friendly. It’s geared towards couples but not sappy.  The food was delicious with an array selection of fine wine. Antigua offers plenty of things to do so we were not bored.

We visited the spa a couple of times and played a round of golf a few times.  We took a helicopter tour of the volcano which was FANTASTIC.  We took in Antigua’s history at English Harbor one day which was an enjoyable way to spend our morning. It was the ideal way to kick off our marriage.

Thank you for your help.

Jennifer and David

AMANERA, The First Golf Integrated Aman Resort

Sitting on the north coast of the serene Dominican Republic, Amanera is a 60-minute drive from both Puerto Plata (POP) and Samaná El Catey (AZS) airports. The resort lies between the two small villages of Río San Juan and Cabrera. Further to the west lies the town of Cabarete, one of the world’s top-rated windsurfing and kiteboarding destinations, while eastward is the natural deep-water port of Samana, famous for the humpback whales that roam its warm waters during winter. Nestled within more than 2,170 acres of pristine Caribbean jungle, Amanera overlooks the ocean from Playa Grande, whose golden sands make it one of the region’s most beautiful beaches.

It is the first golf-integrated Aman. One of the most spectacular golf courses in the world, Playa Grande is a 7,085-yard layout including ten holes played directly on the coastline, with 60-foot drops to the sea. Amanera’s 25 casitas are positioned on the cliffs at the western end of Playa Grande Beach, all offering unobstructed ocean views. Hawaii Honeymoon: Shane & Christina MacDonald

Kauai Hawaii

"We had a wonderful time celebrating our honeymoon in Hawaii. The first week was spent in the beautiful island of Kauai. There, we hiked the colorful trails of the Wailea Canyon, spotted fish and sea turtles on a snorkeling cruise, and marveled at the natural beauty of the Napali Coast from the sky on a helicopter tour. Aptly named The Garden Island, Kauai is lush with vegetation that rolls into the bright blue sea. While in Kauai, we made the Grand Hyatt our home. It was the perfect 'home base' to take day trips, hikes, and relax at tits many pools.

Grand Hyatt Kauai

From Kauai, we took a short flight to Maui and spent our second week relaxing at the pool and lounging at the private beach of the Fairmount Kea Lani. We also enjoyed Maui's robust shopping and dinning scene.

Hawaii

We couldn't have asked for a better two weeks to start this new chapter in our lives. Big thanks to Teresa at Honeymoon Islands for all of her help! Everything was seamless. Looking forward to working with her again in the future!”

Real Honeymoon: Caribbean Island Hopping by M/M Weisser

Joe & Krista Weisser Honeymoon Anguilla

Viceroy Anguilla

Island Hopping part one of two - Viceroy Anguilla, our 5 nights in Anguilla was incredible.   We flew into St. Marteen and took a boat provided by Viceroy over to Anguilla.  We were greeted with rum punches and it was a truly private and great experience seeing the islands on our way there.  Viceroy was incredible.  It was sexy, modern and the rooms were to die for... we were upgraded to an Ocean view residence and I will dream about it every day for the rest of my life.

The very first day in Anguilla we grabbed a bottle of red wine, wine glasses and walked the beach for hours, swam in the most amazing water with soft sand until we could see the stars. Afterwards, we head back to our room and ordered room service that night and stayed in robes and did nothing but enjoy each other’s company.  The next day it rained (all day), which honestly forced us to do exactly what we wanted....relax!  We went to the gym, the spa and enjoyed our plunge pool.

Cap Juluca Anguilla

The rest of the Anguilla trip was spent exploring.  We rented a car and although I was nervous about driving on the wrong side of the road Joe loved it!  We went back to using maps and explored the hotels (Cap Juluca - insanely amazing beach) restaurants and beaches, Shoal Bay being our favorite!!  We loved eating in town to get the "authentic" Caribbean feeling and we fell in love with the locals. Veya Restaurant was just incredible.  a sexy Caribbean restaurant with lounge and live music - the manager was so nice he brought us a bottle of champagne on the house we had a great time.  The best part about Anguilla is the pristine beauty, the softest sand and the bluest water.  You can’t help but be happy, relaxed and at home.  A month vacation here wouldn't have been enough.

Island Hopping part two of two - Since we get bored very easily, we decided our second part of our trip would be Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.  We wanted to experience an island we had never been to before.  Island hoping can be time consuming and expensive but the LIAT flight made it easy.

BVI beach

Tree House Suite Rosewood Little Dix Bay BVI

Rosewood Little Dix Bay was amazing. The tree house suite had spa music, a welcome basket of food and wine and the ferry ride to the resort was great!  Here there are no TVs and it is a true "island" feel we slept with the sounds of the birds and great Caribbean outdoors. It was unlike any experience we’ve had before.

The Baths BVI

What we loved about the BVI’s was the activities. We are very active (when we want to be) every morning we went paddle boarding, snorkeling and swimming in the bay.  We LOVED the little floaties that you can fall asleep in the water and still sun bathe.  One day we were on the paddle board relaxing and a huge sea turtle poked his head out to say hi!  We were dropped off at Spring Bay and snorkeled  over to The Baths which was so romantic.   (Joe had a life jacket, I didn’t- I recommend that everyone take one).  We stayed hours here exploring, we even wrote our names on a little tree that people leave their mark on. We returned to our hotel exhausted.

We went to an amazing sushi restaurant CocoMaya and sat around a fire pit. We even enjoyed the 15 minute rain showers at night. We found the greatest pleasure sipping wine and listening to music while sitting under an umbrella and watch the storm pass. It was so relaxing.  We indulged in a couples massage followed by a beach front dinner. All amazing!   The beach front dinner being the most memorable.  BVI was the perfect place to do nothing.  Very intimate and perfect for any type of occasion.  The people there are the most friendly of any island we’ve been to.

Joe & Krista Weisser

In closing we want to say “Thank You Teresa for your hard work, guidance and patience while we planned this LONG journey for our perfect honeymoon. Thanks to you, it was nothing short of perfect, A perfect way to begin our lives together.
