We had a wonderful honeymoon! The Uma Ubud was great. The suite was spacious and the pool out back was great. Not so lavish but perfect considering we were out almost all day long in Ubud. Our weather was not ideal so we didn't spend as much time at the pool and outdoors as we would have liked. It rained during our driving tour of the various temples. That being said it wasn't such an issue since we spent most of the day in the car with our awesome guide.
We ate the first night at the Italian restaurant in the hotel (I think Uma Cucina it was called?) Delicious food that was much needed after some crazy food on our flights. We ate at Indus the second night, overlooking the River Valley and it was gorgeous! Food was delicious and just a very nice atmosphere. The last night in Ubud we also ate at the hotel in the lobby overlooking the pool- - so exhausting after a long day of bicycling through the villages and seeing Kintamani and Mt Batur. Was nice to have a bottle of wine, relax on a large couch in the bar area and snack on a few things.
The Four Seasons at Jimbaran was UNBELIEVABLE, hands down the nicest hotel we've ever stayed at with the nicest staff. The food was delicious, the views were fantastic, and we loved everything about it. Todd went surfing or paddle boarding every day, and i got to choose from the private pool in our villa, the two pools at the hotel and the various options for poolside/beachside seating- - cabanas, chairs, etc. We ate mostly in the hotel, so many different places to choose from and we didn't want to leave. We went to happy hour almost every day (from 5-7) for great drinks while we watched the sunset. A few nights we stayed there for dinner too, amazing sushi, fish dishes, and even little things like their pizzas were great. We ate at Sundara twice, with gorgeous views of the ocean and sunsets. We also went twice to Menega Grill down the beach for fresh caught fish and delicious cold Bintangs. We actually made friends with our waiter the first night and went back the second time to see him again. he was delightful, sat with us after his shift and we had beers and talked.
We also went to the Ayana hotel to see the Rock Bar and watch the sunset. It was a complete tourist attraction but still really fun. They had good drinks and food and a nice price break from the Four Seasons.
Thank you again for all of your help. Just wanted you to know we appreciate your help getting everything coordinated.
