The full service spa at Ikal del Mar--a sanctuary for the senses--offers its guests a holistic experience in the Riviera Mayan tropical spa setting. The Spa offers a steam room, jacuzzi, swiss showers with adjustable water pressure, and individual treatment areas. There is also a sea-side spa area for Temazcal bath, massages, facials, treatments and Yoga.

The sea is a fountain of energy, where we achieve equilibrium, comfort and we gain the ability to restore indispensable elements necessary for life. Mexico's Mayan Riviera is blessed with one of the worlds most extensive varieties of native herbs and this is a great asset when we speak of health. For these reasons, our treatments offer an excellent combination of natural marine elements with native herbs and aromas.

The Temazcal bath is our specialty of the house combining a cleansing sweat bath with herbs, flowers, music, and a soothing massage. The word Temazcal, in Nahuatl language, is a combination of the words Temaz, meaning bath, and Calli, meaning home. The ceremony was practiced by the Mayans and other indigenous groups as a therapuetic and purifying ritual.
