Ixtapa & Zihuatanejo

La Casa Que Canta Villa Del Sol

Zihuatanejo is a small town, which nowadays still conserves the typical physiognomy and the friendly atmosphere of the old fishing village, with that "True Mexican Flavor".

The downtown streets are still cobblestones paved and most of the constructions have that tropical-coastal look (even the new ones).

There are many cozy restaurants, boutiques, jewelry stores, hotels (from one to five stars), tourist markets, and much more. You won't see any tall buildings (four stories maximum) because they are not permitted by a City Law (the purpose is to conserve the village look).

Zihuatanejo is a quaint and picturesque (great for walking) and also famous for its great fishing and diving and a place where you can practice most water sports. The beaches within our bay, are very safe for the very young to the very old in age, but not in mind, swimmer.

Ixtapa is a modern, world-class resort it has all-modern constructions, vast and well kept gardens and a large residential area, away from the hotel zone. Ixtapa is where you'll find many restaurants, boutiques, shops, grocery markets, drug stores, etc. On the other side of the street from the malls, are the beachfront hotels.

Ixtapa has many high-rise hotels of four and five stars; most hotels are of well known international and national chains. The hotels strip is about 2 miles long and the Ixtapa beach is called El Palmar. Here, you can partake on all the water sports, including surfing.
