This sacred healing art, passed down from generation to generation, utilizes rhythmic strokes integrating the use of the forearms and elbows. Swedish Massage This is a classic full body massage utilizing the five traditional Swedish strokes along with the unique style of each therapist.   Deep Tissue Massage The deep tissue approach to massage emphasizes the therapeutic aspects of various massage techniques and styles. The focus of this treatment is on movement toward the deeper tissue structures of the fascia and muscle, which allows for physiological relief of stress and tension. Neck and Shoulder Tension Reliever Massage The Neck and Shoulder Tension Reliever Massage incorporates bodywork that reaches the tension retaining areas of muscle tissue: the neck, shoulders, back and feet.   Couples Massage This is available for couples in our specially designed "couples massage hale" (outdoor hut). Shiatsu therapy Shiatsu is an ancient Japanese total body treatment that incorporates varying rhythms and degrees of pressure to balance the energy flowing through specific pathways in the body. Tension is released, improving circulation and vital organ function.   Craniosacral Therapy This powerful form of bodywork focuses on the structures housing the central nervous system. A non-invasive manipulation of the craniosacral motions of the body brings movements back in balance. Excellent for addressing the underlying causes of pain and dysfunction. CST is beneficial for those suffering from headaches, TMJ syndrome, dizziness, chronic fatigue and hormonal imbalance. Traditional Thai Massage The Thai massage originated over 2,500 years ago. The style is physically stimulating and adjusts the body through deep stretches and rhythmic compressions.   Lomi Ho`ola This new therapy combines hot rock with Lomi Lomi. First, hot and/or cold stones are placed under and on the body to open its energy centers. Then a slow, deeply warming and penetrating massage is performed with heated basalt stones. This massage, in combination with the energy balancing and placement of the hot rocks, stimulates the circulatory system, ridding the body of tension and stress. Hualalai Hand & Foot Massage This treatment focuses on the hands and feet: each is massaged with hot rocks and warm hands to create deep relaxation. Soft, cotton booties are used to hold warm basalt rocks on the feet and to draw out any remaining tension from the body.   Hualalai Herbal Wrap This body treatment uses a special herbal combination using hibiscus flowers (hibiscus is the state flower). The body is wrapped in canvas sheets that have been prepared in the special herbal mix, which promotes relaxation and the elimination of toxins. The treatment concludes with a stimulating Vichy shower and scrub. Hualalai Salt Glo This is a deep cleansing treatment using a blend of mineral rich salts, Hawaiian red salts and essential oils. All are massaged into the body using light friction for optimum exfoliation. This is followed by an invigorating Vichy shower which leaves the skin smooth and sleek.   Spirulina Body Mask An aromatherapy oil is applied to the neck and shoulders and followed by a warm rehydrating spirulina mask that is applied from the neck to the feet. The body is then wrapped in warming blankets to enhance the rich algae, protein, vitamin and mineral absorption. After an invigorating Vichy shower, the body is moisturized with a silky chamomile body spray, which leaves it nourished, rehydrated and revitalized. Rehydrating Aloe Wrap This body treatment, using a lavender spritz and soothing aloe gel, initiates the rehydrating process for dry or sunburned skin. The full body wrap seals in moisture while allowing deep relaxation. After being unwrapped, one will enjoy a massage of rosehip and aloe rehydrating lotion that leaves skin incredibly soft, smooth and renewed.   Dead Sea Mud Mask Body Treatment This is a luxurious total body treatment designed to detoxify and tone the skin. Following a dry brush exfoliation, the body is painted with a rich mixture of mud. The mask is followed by a warm wrap and a neck and scalp massage. A standard pedicure includes a luxurious whirlpool footbath while a deluxe pedicure includes a luxurious whirlpool foot bath and a warm paraffin dip. Aromatherapy pedicures utilize essential oils to soothe the skin and senses. The Spa pedicure is highlighted by a cool therapeutic mask. Special pedicures: the Kalona "Pohaku" pedicure utilizes volcanic river stones that are heated in hot water and used as an extension of the therapist's hands. The therapist massages the reflex points of the feet, rejuvenating and energizing the feet. The Pressure Point pedicure is a complete pedicure with massage that invigorates the feet.
