Telephone |
| |
While
in Fiji, we encourage you to leave your work at home and enjoy the peace
of Namale. We do have one phone for your convenience in the reception
area and the least costly phone calls are made through your telephone
credit card. |
| |
Faxes |
| |
The
resort makes sending and receiving faxes available to you. The phones
are local Fijian Telecom phones and faxes customarily amount to $10 per
page. |
| |
Goods
and Service tax |
| |
10%
VAT (Value Added Tax) applies to all goods and services, including
hotels. A $20 Fijian dollar departure tax per person is collected when
you leave Fiji. |

Food
and Restaurants |
| |
At
Namale, we serve 3 sumptuous meals daily, drawing on Fiji's
multicultural influence of Indian curries and sauces, fresh local
seafood, imported meats and local fresh fruits and vegetables. Our
highly skilled chefs prepare gourmet meals to your liking! Namale offers
wine, spirits and of course the celebrated "kava
ceremony"! |
| |
Press,
Radio and Television |
| |
One
of the blessings of Namale is no television and no phones in your bures!
There is a daily newspaper, The Fiji Times, which is delivered to the
resort and contains a limited amount of global along with the local
news. A stereo with CD player is included in each bure along with
a selection of CDs for your pleasure. |

Education
Fund & Staff Acknowledgment |
| |
At
the end of your stay you may choose to support these funds with your
gratuity. The owners support over 200 village children with their
education and your contribution ensures that they all have the
opportunity of bus transportation and testing fees along with materials
for their education. Namale is the only source of this funding.
Additionally, the Namale staff come from the neighboring villages and
they receive your gratuities at Christmas time allowing them to support
their families and children. Your donations are graciously received and
responsibly used. |
