Dear Travelers,
Have you heard? In a surprise double victory, Condé Nast Traveler
readers have voted Ladera not only the "Best Hotel in the Caribbean,"
but they also gave it the highest score of any hotel in the world,
ranking it the "Best of the Best" in the overall hotel category.
The honor marks the first time in the 18 year history of the awards
that a Caribbean hotel has appeared on the "Best of the Best"
list.
I had the privilege of receiving the award at a Metropolitan Museum
of Art gala in New York City last month. It was an unforgettable
evening for Ladera, one that I liken to the Academy Awards of
the travel industry -- and we won best picture!
While I was lucky enough to be there to accept the honor, it is
really Ladera's staff who deserve credit. They are truly the Best
in the World and make Ladera the unforgettable experience that
our guests have come to treasure.
The best news is that Ladera will always remain true to its roots
by delivering the Caribbean's most authentic experience. We are
an intimate, 25-room, open-air hotel, a place for guests seeking
a life changing travel experience, and not just a quick getaway.
Ladera is the ideal choice for one who is ready and willing to
experience an unedited version of Utopia. Simply put, you get
the real Caribbean and all the luxurious trimmings that make Ladera's
Edenic setting a lifetime memory. That's everything from open-air
Suites, to panoramic views from 1,100 feet above the Sea, sunsets
that will take your breath away, private plunge pools in every
room, great meals at Dasheene restaurant and so much more. Our
guests love the amorous trill of the tree frogs at night (some
join in) and come here to enjoy the famous barefoot lifestyle
that is Ladera.
So here's to being recognized as the Best in the World, but more
importantly, for staying who we are for our guests who want an
authentic Caribbean experience.
Our low key ambience is ideal for those who are seeking a true
retreat in a hill top paradise. We look forward to receiving you
with a warm West Indian welcome.
