Peter Island Resort, surrounded with the sapphire seas of the Caribbean,
provides the perfect setting for a storybook wedding and fantasy honeymoon.
From the picturesque crescent of Deadman's Bay Beach to Sprat Bay's
collection of 100-foot yachts and the exquisite four-bedroom Crow's
Nest Villa atop a rugged bluff, Peter Island Resort pampers lovers within
1,800 acres of lush, mountainous terrain and private beaches kissed by
technicolor tides.
Our staff will handle details such as flowers, photographs, and
music. Couples are responsible only for their marriage license which
can be secured within three days of arriving in the British Virgin Islands.
Favorite wedding locations include Deadman's Bay Beach, a mile-long
crescent with towering coconut palms renowned as one of the "Caribbean's
Most Breathtaking Beachscapes," and "The Loop", a bluff carved
into an unspoiled island hillside overlooking miles of the Caribbean. The
Gardens lend tropical surroundings of hibiscus, bougainvillea and night-blooming
jasmine near the Library which is framed by lush flora and the pool
on one side and breathtaking views of Sir Francis Drake Channel and neighboring
islands on the other. Crow's Nest Villa offers a spectacular backdrop
of panoramic views in all directions. Tradewinds offers an open-air
dining room overlooking Sir Francis Drake Channel and nearby Tortola
while the Yacht Harbour provides a handcrafted teak and mahogany
arrival gazebo surveying Sprat Bay's collection of spectacular yachts from
around the world.
After the ceremony, an intimate honeymoon awaits. The resort's "Island
Romance" package offers luxurious accommodations for eight days and seven
nights, a welcome bottle of champagne, arrival amenities, daily meals including
a gourmet dinner and wine tasting event, a choice of a day trip to Virgin
Gorda or Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, a windsurfing lesson for two, round
trip transfers, unlimited ferry service to and from Tortola, and unlimited
use of island activities such as watersports, mountain biking, day and
evening tennis, swimming pool, and beachfront fitness center.
For those who want the best of both worlds in their first days of marriage,
Peter Island offers the "Ashore/Afloat" package with five nights of romantic
resort accommodations and two nights aboard the 41-foot sailing yacht "Silmaril."
On the island, newlyweds revel in the respite of five private beaches
including Honeymoon, the resort's most romantic beach which offers only
two lounge chairs beneath a single thatch hut. Island tradition dictates
that lovers pay tribute to the beach at least once during their stay
- one couple at a time, of course.
During escapes to remote White Bay, where fish literally eat out of
the extended hands of snorkelers, island staff deliver exquisite picnic
lunches and then remove the baskets when summoned. Or, with the help of
seafaring service, guests uncover one of the resort's 20 tranquil
coves for their personal pleasure.
For the more adventurous, the Peter Island Resort staff can arrange
private crewed sailing and boat charters to surrounding islands, deep sea
fishing, scuba diving through the resort's own dive center, tee times at
Mahogany run on St. Thomas, eco-excursions to the legendary Baths
of Virgin Gorda with a on-staff naturalist, sightseeing and shopping tours,
or simple self-indulgence at Sole Spa.
After a full day of diving or dozing in seaside hammocks, newlyweds
can enjoy signature cocktails before dinner, a sunset sail or privately
guided island tour by resort rover. Lovers dance under the stars
to calypso, reggae or soca, or indulge in a moonlit stroll along Drake
Channel and Sprat Bay as yacht masts slap softly in the wind. Later,
partners retreat into their guest rooms for a complimentary bottle of champagne.
Our basic wedding package includes the wedding license, registrar &
coordination fees, taxi fares, bouquet and boutonnière, house champagne,
and engraved champagne flutes for $740.00.
Many additional options can be added such as a photographer, videographer,
wedding cake, sunset cruise, musicians. Please contact reservations
for more information.
